Dear 4th Grade Families,

Thank you for your continued hard work on all of your at home learning assignments. We know this is a different and in some cases difficult time for all. We appreciate everything you are doing to assist your children at home and please continue to reach out to your teacher for any reason.

We’d like to continue to be of assistance and hope this summary of our expectations is helpful to you.

MATH:

Students should:

  • Watch the assigned lesson video daily

  • Practice vocabulary in Quizlet daily - as needed - students should visit more regularly if they are struggling with the concepts

  • Complete practice work for the lesson daily  - students should complete the front of the practice book pages -  completing the back side (spiral problems) is an optional extension activity - answer key link will be provided in the learning plan to correct your own work

  • Complete the Quick Check to showcase their learning skills on the lesson - try your best and don’t be afraid to go back and try again

WHAT TO TURN IN:

  • Teachers will be able to see your Quizlet and Quick Check work.

  • Please choose your TWO BEST math practice book pages to show your teacher. Take pictures of these two assignments and send them in one email to your teacher at the end of the week.

READING:

Students should:

  • Watch the assigned lesson video daily

  • Read the next assigned chapter

  • Use the independently read chapter to complete their own reading journal entry, demonstrating their best comprehension and writing skills in their work

WHAT TO TURN IN:

  • Please share your COMPLETED reading journal with your teacher at the end of the week.

Whenever possible we ask for families to send work samples in as few emails as possible to help us better track your submissions. Please note that this request is only for work submission emails. Please continue to reach out as often as needed with questions or for support. Keep your eyes on your emails for feedback from your teachers for the work you completed.

Stay well,

Mrs. Campos, Mr. DaRosa, Mrs. Dietz, Mrs. Kleinen, Mrs. Lincoln
